Wollongong Diagnostics – Affordable, Bulk-Billed Imaging Services You Can Trust.

“The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand.” — Vince Lombardi

We, at Wollongong Diagnostics, believe that satisfaction lies in the effort, not the attainment. Full effort is a full victory. With this ideology, Alok and Arunima started their first radiology practice in 2011 on Crown Street, Wollongong. With the immense support of their team, peers and the wider community of the Illawarra, Wollongong Diagnostics is now a well-established privately-owned, non-corporate radiology practice with branches in Wollongong, Warrawong, Corrimal and Kiama.

Our Services

01
MRI
Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive technique that uses powerful magnets and radio waves to generate detailed images of organs, joints, and soft tissues, assisting in the diagnosis of neurological, musculoskeletal, and cardiovascular conditions.
02
CT Scan
A CT (Computed Tomography) scan combines multiple X-ray images to create detailed cross-sectional views of the body. It is used for diagnosing fractures, tumors, internal bleeding, and vascular diseases with high precision.
03
Cardiac CT
A Cardiac CT scan uses advanced computed tomography technology to create detailed images of the heart and blood vessels, assisting in the diagnosis of coronary artery disease and other cardiac conditions.
04
Dual Energy CT
Dual Energy CT enhances diagnostic accuracy by using two X-ray energy levels to differentiate tissues more clearly. It is especially useful for detecting kidney stones, gout, and cardiovascular conditions, offering improved imaging insights.
05
Digital X-Ray
Digital X-rays capture high-resolution, two-dimensional images of bones and organs using minimal radiation. This quick and effective imaging method aids in diagnosing fractures, infections, and internal conditions with precision.
06
Ultrasound
Ultrasound, or sonography, utilizes high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of internal organs, tissues, and blood flow. It is commonly used in pregnancy monitoring, cardiac assessments, and abdominal scans.
07
3D Mammography
3D Mammography, or Digital Breast Tomosynthesis, is the most advanced imaging method for breast cancer detection. It provides clearer and more precise images than traditional mammograms, improving early diagnosis.
08
ABI And PRP Injections
Autologous Blood Injections (ABI) and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy harness the body's healing potential by injecting concentrated growth factors into injured tissues, promoting recovery from tendon and ligament injuries.
09
Biopsies And Fine Needle Aspiration
A biopsy involves extracting a small tissue sample for laboratory analysis to diagnose conditions like cancer or infections. Fine needle aspiration is a minimally invasive method for sampling fluid or cells from suspicious areas.
10
Spine Injections
Spinal injections deliver a combination of local anesthetic and anti-inflammatory medication directly into the affected area, providing pain relief for conditions like herniated discs, sciatica, and spinal stenosis.
11
Joint & Bursa Injections
Joint and bursa injections administer cortisone steroids and anesthetics into inflamed joints to reduce pain and swelling. They are commonly used for arthritis, bursitis, and tendonitis treatment.
12
Cone Beam CT and OPG
Cone Beam CT (CBCT) and Orthopantomogram (OPG) provide detailed 3D and panoramic imaging of the jaw, teeth, and sinuses, aiding in dental implant planning, orthodontics, and maxillofacial diagnostics.
13
DEXA (Bone Densitometry)
DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) is the gold standard for measuring bone mineral density and body composition. It is primarily used for diagnosing osteoporosis and assessing fracture risk.

What Our Clients Say

I suffer with severe anxiety and agoraphobia and the staff today in Warrawong were REMARKABLE! They helped me arrive to my appointment with little wait time and they even seperate me from the general waiting room which made such a massive difference! All staff were so polite and courteous towards me. They all made sure I was okay. The young woman who did my X-ray made the process so quick. I would have been in there for no longer than 15-20, but only because of their help. And because of their help I was able to get the xrays I needed in a short amount of time and they made the whole experience less traumatic than it could of been. I’m so extremely happy. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Due to a family history I have a breast scan done every 12months. This time I chose Wollongong Diagnostics Tarrawanna Clinic. The sonographer who took care of me was outstanding. She was gentle, reassuring, knowledgeable and professional. From my arrival to my exit it was a really pleasant experience. Congratulations to the entire team on making a nerve racking appointment a pleasant one!

I am so impressed with how friendly, helpful, and professional all of your staff are. Your reception staff have gone out of their way to provide me fast access to scans (usually on the same or the next day), and have also booked scans at similar time slots so that I only have to make one trip into the practice. Your radiographers and sonographers have all been friendly, kind, and professional. Today I had a cardiac CT, and one of your radiologists even came to visit me straight after the scan to briefly go through the (normal) scan – a very kind and professional gesture which I think your radiographers may have organised. What’s more amazing, is I have been bulk-billed for all the tests. I think your clinic is providing a fabulous service, and I thank you for everyone’s hard work and efforts!

Today I had an appointment at the Women’s Imaging Suite at Warrawong. I am writing to commend the staff who work there in particular Jackie (mammogram) Jenny (ultrasound) and the 2 receptionists for their professional, considerate and friendly manner. It’s nice to be treated as a person rather than just a number.
